Most ear and sinus infections need no antibiotics; most deviated septums need no surgery; many snorers need a sleep study, not an operation. We operate when it is genuinely warranted — and we say so plainly when it is not.

What We Treat

Deviated Nasal Septum

Septoplasty through the nostrils, no external cut. Most deviated septums need no surgery at all.

Nasal Polyps

Keyhole endoscopic sinus surgery — but sprays come first, and after-care keeps them from returning.

Ear & Sinus Infections

Most settle without antibiotics. Surgery only for the small minority of chronic cases.

Tympanoplasty

Eardrum repair for a dry, safe ear and better hearing — often through the ear canal, no scar.

Tonsils & Adenoids

For repeated infections or sleep-obstructing enlargement — not the occasional sore throat.

Snoring & Sleep Apnea

A sleep study first. Simple snoring and sleep apnoea are treated very differently.

Cochlear Implant Surgery

For severe hearing loss that hearing aids cannot help. Rehabilitation is as important as the surgery.

Less Treatment Is Often Better Treatment

ENT is a field where over-treatment is easy, so it is worth being clear about what we believe.

Most ear and sinus infections are viral and settle without antibiotics. A crooked septum on a scan is not, by itself, a reason to operate. Nasal polyps are treated with sprays before surgery is considered. Tonsils come out for repeated documented infections or sleep obstruction — not for the occasional sore throat. And snoring is assessed with a sleep study before anyone reaches for the theatre.

A doctor-owned hospital has no revenue target pushing you toward surgery. When watching and waiting is the better course, that is what you will be told.

When ENT Problems Are Urgent

Some ENT problems should not wait:

Sudden hearing loss in one ear — sudden sensorineural hearing loss is an emergency and is far more treatable in the first few days. Do not wait to see if it settles.
Severe sore throat with difficulty breathing or swallowing, or drooling — needs same-day assessment.
A button battery in the ear or nose (usually a small child) — a genuine emergency; go to hospital immediately.
A heavy nosebleed that will not stop with firm pinching of the soft part of the nose.
