Sama Hospital’s urology department treats conditions of the kidneys, bladder, prostate and male reproductive system — with modern, minimally invasive techniques and an honest approach to who actually needs surgery. Most kidney stones pass on their own; most enlarged prostates are managed with medication; erectile problems are treated medically before surgically.
Sama is a doctor-owned, NABH-accredited hospital in South Delhi, treating patients since 1982.
Most small stones pass on their own. Laser, ureteroscopy and shockwave treatment for those that don’t — usually no incision.
For an enlarged prostate — but only when medication no longer controls the symptoms. Keyhole or laser, no external cut.
Kidney removal for tumours or a non-functioning kidney, by keyhole surgery where suitable. You live normally with one kidney.
A confidential, medical problem often signalling a treatable condition. Surgery is a last step, not a first.
Reconstructive urology — urethral stricture and penile conditions — aiming for a durable repair, not repeat procedures.
Two principles run through our urology.
Most urological surgery today is keyhole or endoscopic — kidney stones removed through the natural passage, prostates treated through the urethra, kidneys removed laparoscopically. Less pain, faster recovery, smaller or no scars.
And surgery is often not needed at all. Small kidney stones pass with fluids. Enlarged prostates are frequently controlled with medication for years. Erectile dysfunction is treated with lifestyle changes and tablets long before any operation. A doctor-owned hospital has no revenue target pushing you toward the theatre — when watching or medicating is the better course, that is what you will be told.
We quote an all-inclusive package, confirmed after clinical assessment. Cashless treatment is available for eligible insurance patients. See our cost estimate page.
