Piles Treatment in Delhi

Laser Haemorrhoidoplasty (LHP) is a minimally invasive, stitchless treatment for piles (haemorrhoids) that uses laser energy to shrink the swollen tissue. Whether it is right for you depends on the grade of your piles, which your surgeon will assess at consultation.

Piles are swollen blood vessels in and around the anus and lower rectum, graded 1 to 4 by severity. They commonly cause bleeding, itching, discomfort or a lump, and are often linked to constipation, straining, prolonged sitting or pregnancy.

• Bright-red bleeding during or after passing stool
• A lump or swelling around the anus
• Itching, irritation or discomfort
• A feeling of incomplete evacuation

Rectal bleeding should never simply be assumed to be piles. It can have other causes, some of them serious, and it needs to be examined properly rather than self-treated.

Grade 1 and many grade 2 piles are usually managed with diet, fibre, fluids and medication — surgery is not the first answer. Grade 3 and grade 4 piles, and those that keep bleeding or prolapsing despite conservative treatment, are the ones most often considered for a procedure.

If you have been told you need surgery for early-grade piles, it is reasonable to ask why, and to seek a second opinion.

Conservative care. Fibre, fluids, medication and changes to bowel habit. This resolves a great many cases of early piles without any procedure at all.

Laser Haemorrhoidoplasty (LHP). Our minimally invasive option. Laser energy is applied through a fine probe to shrink the haemorrhoidal tissue. There are no stitches, less tissue is cut, and it is usually done as day-care surgery.

Conventional or stapler surgery. Still the right answer for advanced or selected cases. Not every patient is a laser candidate, and we would rather tell you that than sell you a technique that does not suit your anatomy.

Most patients go home the same day and return to light routine within 24–48 hours, with fuller recovery over one to two weeks. Some discomfort in the first few days is normal and is managed with medication. Recovery varies with the grade of piles and with the individual.

For suitable cases, laser haemorrhoidoplasty is stitchless, usually causes less post-operative pain and bleeding than conventional open surgery, and allows a faster return to routine.
