A hystero-laparoscopy is two keyhole examinations done together in a single sitting — looking inside the uterus with a hysteroscope and at the uterus, tubes and ovaries with a laparoscope. It gives a complete picture of the reproductive organs in one anaesthetic, and many problems it finds can be treated then and there.
