Dr. Shalabh Sharma is presently practicing as a Senior Ear, Nose & Throat Consultant Surgeon at Sir Ganga Ram hospital in New Delhi. He spent some time as a Clinical Fellow at the Beaumont Hospital in Dublin, Ireland, and Royal Victoria Hospital, Belfast (UK). He has received advanced training in endoscopic sinus surgery and ear microsurgery. Dr. Sharma’s area of expertise is Deafness in children & adults. He received training in Cochlear Implantation at the ‘Bionic Ear Institute’ in Melbourne, Australia in 2001. Subsequently, he started the Cochlear Implant Unit at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital in 2002 and has performed over 700 cochlear implant surgeries to date. This includes a large number of cases with abnormal cochleae, abnormalities of the facial nerve, and many other challenging cases.
