Cancer Surgery & Chemotherapy in Delhi

Sama Hospital provides cancer surgery and chemotherapy administration at our NABH-accredited, doctor-owned hospital in South Delhi.
We want to be straightforward with you about what that does and does not mean, because a cancer diagnosis is not a moment for marketing.
What We Provide
- Cancer surgery — performed by our surgical team in an accredited operating theatre
- Chemotherapy administration — we admit patients for their cycles, with inpatient beds and nursing and medical support during and after treatment
- Supportive and post-operative care, and management of complications
- Cashless insurance for eligible patients
What We Do Not Provide
We do not have radiation oncology. Radiotherapy requires a linear accelerator and a specialist radiotherapy team, and we do not have them on site. If your treatment plan includes radiotherapy, you will need to receive it at a centre that provides it, and we will coordinate with them.
Sama is not a dedicated cancer centre. We are a multispecialty hospital that treats cancer patients — that is a different thing, and you deserve to know the difference before you choose where to be treated.
When a Cancer Institute May Serve You Better
We would rather tell you this at the start than have you find out later.
For a rare or complex cancer, for a case needing a full multidisciplinary tumour board, or where surgery, chemotherapy and radiotherapy must be sequenced closely under one roof, a dedicated cancer institute is likely to serve you better than we can. If that is your situation, we will say so, and we will help you get there.
A doctor-owned hospital has no incentive to keep a patient it is not the right place for.
Where Sama Does Suit Patients
Many patients come to us after the treatment plan has been decided elsewhere, to receive their chemotherapy cycles closer to home — in a smaller, quieter, accredited hospital, with beds available and a team that knows them.
Others come to us for cancer surgery within the specialties we practise. And some come simply because they have been our patients for years and want to be looked after by people they already trust.
Those are honest reasons to choose us. “Best cancer hospital in Delhi” was not.
Cost & Insurance
Cancer surgery and chemotherapy are generally covered by health insurance. Sama is empanelled with leading insurers and TPAs, and cashless treatment is available for eligible patients. Our insurance desk will confirm your eligibility before admission. See our cost estimate page.
